Single-mode dual-fiber modules include BiDi, CWDM, DWDM, and standard LR/ER modules, designed for long-distance optical communication over two fibers.

Overview

Single-mode dual-fiber modules use two separate fibers—one for transmitting and one for receiving data—over single-mode fiber (SMF) with a 9 µm core. They are ideal for long-distance, high-speed networks because single-mode fibers minimize modal dispersion and signal loss, supporting distances from 10 km up to 120 km or more depending on the module type .
