    • SC pigtails are pre-terminated connectors with a bare fiber end designed for fusion splicing.
    • Align the incoming fiber with the pigtail in the splicer and perform the fusion arc to create a continuous glass joint with near-zero insertion loss .
    • Fusion splice-on SC connectors are pre-polished, eliminating the need for field polishing and adhesives, and can be terminated in under two minutes per connector .
  5. Splice Tray Management
    • Place the fused fibers into the splice tray inside the SC terminal box.
    • Ensure proper routing and slack management to prevent bending or stress on the splice.
    • Close the tray and secure the fibers to maintain long-term performance .
