Distribution Box Rail Mounting

Distribution boxes are typically mounted on DIN or top-hat rails (TS35) using standardized rails and mounting hardware to ensure secure, accessible, and compliant installations.

DIN and Mounting Rails

DIN rails, also called top-hat rails, are standardized metal profiles used to mount electrical and electronic components such as terminal blocks, relays, and power supplies inside distribution boxes . Common types include TS 15, TS 20 (C20), TS 27, TS 32, and TS 35, with TS 35 being the most widely used for industrial applications . Rails can be made from galvanized steel, aluminum, stainless steel, or plastic, and may be perforated or solid depending on mounting needs .
