Settings for the Secondary Distribution Box

A secondary distribution box, or subpanel, is configured by selecting the location, connecting it to the main panel via a feeder, installing breakers, and properly grounding and labeling all circuits.

Planning and Location

Before installation, determine the location of the secondary distribution box. After wiring, inspect all connections and ensure breakers are correctly installed. For residential installations, a licensed electrician or local inspector should verify compliance with electrical codes and issue any required permits .
